Getting Ready for the Workforce
In the quest to pursue its mission, the Rinaldi Foundation is collaborating with Via Don Bosco, a Belgian NGO, to ensure that young people in Haiti can lead a dignified life and participate in building a sustainable future. Together, we are taking action to provide vulnerable youth (aged 15-25) with the opportunity to integrate professionally and socially into society through the development of their skills.
Throughout this project, the Rinaldi Foundation is offering assistance to three of the Salesian vocational training centers (CDAM, DBTec and ENAM) as well as the Salesian employment office in order to ensure that they are providing youth what they need in order to successfully enter into the workforce. Student learning is being improved by providing formation and training to teachers and by adapting content, infrastructure and educational materials to the needs of today’s workforce. In addition, the project is promoting collaboration between the Salesian training centers and other regional technical and vocational schools in order to facilitate the exchange of teaching materials and best practices. Lastly, the project seeks to strengthen the capacity of the Salesian centers to provide business and entrepreneurial skills to students. The centers accompany graduates as they enter the world of work, ensuring that they have the support that they need to succeed.
Throughout the program, emphasis is placed on gender equality, human rights, and the environment in order to promote an inclusive and quality education.
Thanks to this partnership with Via Don Bosco, students are already reaping the benefits. They are more confident in their ability to enter the workforce and more capable of contributing to the development of Haiti.
